A big welcome to Marileen, who has come to spend a week with us from Peterhouse Girls High School in Marondera. ‘Linky’ is doing her AS Levels  at Peterhouse, and has come to the stage in her life when she needs to be making career decisions. So she has come to see what Therapeutic Riding is all about, is it the career for her? She loves horses, she is amazing with children, and she is compassionate. Definitely an option for you Linky!! Linky spent the morning with us on Friday learning to long line. This form of exercise is great for strengthening the backs of therapeutic ponies, and apart from patience, obedience, willingness and stamina, therapeutic ponies need strong backs!

Here at Healing with Horses we always need volunteers, our work is very labour intensive and there is something for everyone to do, even if you are not into horses! If you would like to contribute your time to this non-profit organisation, please contact us, you will always be welcome, and it is the most amazing and rewarding work which we do here!

We also offer an internship program for overseas or local students, if you are interested in working in a Therapeutic Horsemanship program, or just gaining experience with horses, or even competing, we can help you out. You don’t have to be a student! Anyone wanting an African Experience with horses and ‘other animals’ this is your place!
