Thanks to Pilgrim Foundation Healing with Horses was able to repair the roof of our barn and other stables starting at the end of October 2017. This massive undertaking was carried out under the supervision of Warren King, from The Rock church, Bulawayo. Not only did Warren source materials and put the best thatcher onto the job, he also transported thatching grass and other materials, and every now and then provided labour from the kind people of his congregation, and his volunteers. Warren kept control of the entire project, and apart from occasionally stepping over piles of grass, and sporadically feeding by skylight, we wouldn’t have even known that it was happening.

What a difference this has made to our yard, no more wet horses, muddy stable floors, drips on saddles, and mad panic to move feed bags every time a beautiful Zimbabwean rain cloud appeared on the horizon. We can’t thank Pilgrim Foundation enough for the cash donation which allowed this to happen, and to Warren King for selflessly donating time, labour and energy to the program.

Our stable walls and floors are in urgent need of repair, is there anyone out there who is in a position to help us rebuild the walls and floors of the stables to improve the comfort of our therapy ponies, who work so hard to serve the children benefiting from Healing with Horses Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies?

There are hundreds of ways in which people can help out here at Healing with Horses, donate a dollar, volunteer your time, mend a fence, weed a paddock, plant a seed, side walk, exercise horses, build an indoor school, or do some office work for us! If you have a skill, we can use it!

Thank you so much to everyone who contributes to Healing with Horses in any way.
