Healing with Horses Zimbabwe and National Foods have had a very special partnership for the last six years. Ever since we started our program in 2013, National Foods has partnered with us to keep our therapeutic riding program going by supplying a ton of feed a month for our therapy horses and ponies.

Our special Simon Mlambo, is a huge part of our family here, encouraging us in what we do, and taking the time to chat every time he delivers a load of feed to us. We love Simon’s optimism and his belief in the good of Zimbabwe and the world, and especially his belief in all Healing with Horses stands for, and what we do in the community. We have the same special feel from the entire community at National Foods. Mr Lashbrook and Nigel Weller have always been firm supporters of Healing with Horses, and have backed us every step of the way.

So it shouldn’t have come as a big surprise when Simon delivered not just one, but two tons of feed this month. Simon, Michael and Nigel got together, without any prompting from us, and decided that we could use some extra help this month. We are very touched that National Foods really keeps their finger on the pulse as far as we are concerned, and thanks to Simon’s regular visits, they really understand our daily battles to keep our program running.

Therapeutic Riding is a world wide tool used to help with all sorts of needs and abilities. We are privileged here at Healing with Horses Zimbabwe to be the only PATH Intl. Centre currently operating in Africa. We are able to serve  a large number of children in our community through this type of therapy. However, it also means that not many people understand what we do.
