Everywhere in the world there are a group of special people who volunteer their time, muscle power and energy to help out in various organisations. Bulawayo, Zimbabwe has more than their fair share of these amazing people. In an economy and life-style which leaves nobody high and dry, these people still find energy and thought for less fortunate members of the community. Week after week these people take time out of their busy schedules, put their own worries aside, in order to come and help us out at Healing with Horses Therapeutic Centre. And in return, we give them, no, not money or bountiful riches,  but a richness in their soul, peace in their minds, an extra reason to get up in the morning, a smile in their hearts,  no-one leaves here empty handed, untouched by the work we do here with the special children who join us week after week.

We here at Healing with Horses would like to thank those people who support us, week after week, we hope, with second term about to start, that you will all continue to do so. We are always looking for new volunteers, please would anyone who feels that they would like to help us in our program come out to the stables for a Volunteer Orientation/Tea on Thursday afternoon, 12 May, 2016, to learn what we are all about, what we expect from you as a volunteer, and then you can decide whether this is for you! Our regular volunteers, this is also for you, a refresher course! Please wear appropriate clothing, hat, closed shoes, and remember your sun-screen! This is Africa after all!
