Healing with Horses Zimbabwe, in partnership with Mind the Gap Africa, is a registered Zimbabwean non-profit Trust. We work free of charge with under-privileged children with disabilities, special needs, or who are in need of rehabilitation from trauma and abuse. It is our vision to provide the environment for people with disabilities and special needs to realise their self-worth and to take their place in the community with confidence, pride, and ability.

Therapeutic Riding is a world recognised therapy which combines all forms of therapy in one package, the horse. The movement of the horse is such that it exercises the participant’s un-used muscles and strengthens them to bring about a huge improvement in strength and possible movement. Horses are also very intuitive and sensitive animals who respond to human emotions and allow healing by this response. These ‘tools of our trade’ are miracle workers, but they are also very expensive to maintain, and as our program is free of charge to these children, we are appealing for help from Donors to keep this program going in this difficult economic climate. We have had amazing results from the program.

We serve the local community for free!! We are very proud that we can offer this wonderful service to children in need for free. But, in order to do this we need your help.
