Australian Embassy awards DAP grant to Healing with Horses Therapeutic Centre in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, to assist with the Equine Assisted Therapy program

We are privileged to once again partner with the Australian Embassy DAP in another venture. In 2016 the DAP program awarded us a grant for an irrigation system which has enabled us, even in the difficult economic times, to cut our feed bill by 30 percent.

This year, we are excited to announce that the Australian Embassy DAP has awarded us a grant to install a solar power system at our Centre. We are very excited to partner with both the Australians, and Gemwitts from Bulawayo in this exciting new venture.

We heard from Gemwitts yesterday that all the equipment for the project is on it’s way to us!

Healing with Horses Zimbabwe is currently the only PATH Intl. Centre registered in Africa. Our mission is to Heal children and communities in Zimbabwe through Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies.

This means that we offer a therapeutic service to children who cannot afford it, free of charge. We have the most amazing team of staff and volunteers who work together to serve these very special children, and we are doing our best to educate communities as to the normality of the disabilities we work with, to take away the stigma of special needs children, or children with physical disabilities. We have had amazing, and miraculous results from our program, and are so blessed to work in this environment, day by day seeing miracles before our eyes, thanks to the ponies and the people we work with.
