Volunteer opportunities

“Volunteers wear working boots but leave a trail of angel footprints.”
-Terri Guillemets

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends and, most importantly, make a difference. Our equine assisted program would not be possible without the volunteers who give freely of their time and their personalities.
We are always looking for more ‘Side-walkers’. Your job will be to walk beside the horse, guiding and helping the rider achieve the tasks set by the instructor. No prior experience with horses or people with different abilities is required. We will show you what to do once you arrive.
THE SCHEDULE FOR SESSIONS WITH THE CHILDREN IS AS FOLLOWS:
PLAN TO BE HERE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE SESSION
Wear comfortable clothes and sneakers or boots. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to some of the sessions.

There are other ways that you may get involved.
We have a number of activities and projects in the works that would benefit from your specific skill set.
